2nd CD's BLUE WAVE GALA
September 28, 2023: UPDATE
Dear Dems Who are Planning to Attend the Blue Wave Gala,
The good news: the event is “Sold-Out!” We look forward to seeing all ticket-holders on Saturday in Big Rapids for a fun-filled evening. Classical guitarist Warren Kramer will touch your soul during the cocktail and dinner hours. Marshal Stearn and Nancy Walker will weave their entertaining magic into the evening program. The food, fun, and messages from speakers awaits y’all!
The bad news: If budget talks and a looming government shut-down keep Congress working and its members in Washington D.C. on September 30th. That would include Congresswoman Slotkin. The 2CD has secured Michigan Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein to speak. He has graciously agreed to step in as guest speaker for the Blue Wave Gala.
Either way, you can expect a fabulous evening!

After Congresswomen Elissa Slotkin's speech, we will have a special recorded video from U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.
We have received a commitment from the 2nd Congressional District Congressman candidate Michael Lynch to be a guest speaker at our event!
In addition, We have received a commitment from Eaton County Commissioner Jacob Toomey to speak at our event and introduce Congresswomen Elissa Slotkin. He is a perfect example of the kind of Young Democrats we hope to attract to the party!
We have a hilarious comedy show - Nancy Walker and Marshall Stern, who will perform their show for us and help with the live auction!!!
We expect 120 or more guests - local Democrats, activist labor leaders, business people and elected officials - who we are proud to have as torchbearers for our democratic priorities. Guests can look forward to meeting and hearing from elected officials and candidates.
